Второй полноформатный альбом группы. Вышел 17 ноября 2008 года в Европе и 25 ноября в Северной Америке, спустя 15 лет после дебютного альбома Focus.
В 1994 году группа распалась, выпустив всего лишь один альбом. На протяжении 15 лет многие им заслушивались, даже не мечтая о продолжении творчества легендарной группы. Однако 17 января 2008 года Cynic заявили о своём воссоединении. Был проведён тур, в котором группа исполняла песни, не звучавшие вживую целых 15 лет.
19 июля 2008 года стало известно, что новый альбом будет называться "Traced In Air". Незадолго до выпуска альбома свет увидела промо-запись, включившая в себя треки Integral Birth и Adam's Murmur. Также в туре исполнялась новая песня Evolutionary Sleeper.
