Warming

We touch on the sidewalk with a warming
Came to hear the words you're forming
In songs sung about the early morning
I lay wide awake, it's quiet
It seems as if no one and nothing is here
But I see a small shadow there in the mirror
.. and they just disappear

Turn to the lady in the lobby now 
Smoke rises into that sky of dead trees
Your hand on my leg and you sit on my knee
I hold it this way to this day

In faces in facets and moments delayed
A head in your bed when you do hit the hay
I'll only crash here for the night

I came from the sky in my ray

Once diamond shone in the new parking lot
And the waking of ladies is gorgeous
They came on legs and the game that they brought

I balled them out
